There is in fact a special story behind this particular ToonDoo.
A long-time friend of mine was talking to me yesterday from Austin, Texas, and telling me about what he liked with ToonDoo. When I told him about the edublog I was running on “Learning a New Word”, he jumped to the site and laughed loud remembering memories of old, when I used to help his sister prepare for the GRE examination (word list). I used to teach her some difficult words, and for this particular one, I used the Tamilish speech of the little boy (Saaar - for Sir), and gave her a remembering mnemonic so to speak. I dunno if she got that word in her exam, but one thing I am sure of - she’ll never ever forget the word and its meaning. So, this is in fond memory of that once-upon-a-time little girl I loved teaching English to!
